Trappings
Information marked with "-" come from various historic sources (they were historically given. Subsequent documents were being issued by the Royal Office, often at the opportunity of doing the Great Crown Seyms, earlier - by royal officials in the place of the king’s residing. Documents written with font "arial" and labelled through "x" surviwed and they are located in sets of the Main Archive of Ancient File in Warsaw currently, 00-263 Warsaw, Long 7, manager of the 5th Department - of Scientific Laboratory - ma dr Maria Sierock -Pośpiech - tel. 831-54-91 in. 427); these documents are deprived of the stamp (in 19th century there was "fashion" on collecting stamps from ancient documents. They have never been photographed (they aren’t strengthened on microfilms).As for now I didn’t find even a trace of these documents and their translations from Latin to Russian and Polish in archives (what was found in one of official reports, preceding the managing reform of the Polish Realm, in 1866- it is possible that it did not survived because 75% of AGAD sets had burnt in the Warsaw rise).
Chronologically:
• in 1249 prince Siemowit the first, third son of Konrad the first , gave the Mogylnycza village, with belonging to it chapel, two Otolaz, with mills, beavers and taverns to Cistercians from Sulejow;
1. The copy of the above-mentioned document is located in AGAD, in copy of documents of the Mogielnica town, the Archive of Lubomirscy in Mała Wieś, IA/72 signature npag.;
• in 1317 r. location privilege of prince Trojdens I (master on: Sochaczew, Wiskity and Ciechanow) on Sredzki Law
• in the year 1421 - 3rd Siemowit, the prince of Czersk, exchanged various duties of commoners of Mogielnica for financial fees what he confirmed in the year 1450
• the similar confirmation occurred from the Płock prince’s side – Siemowit 4th .
2. 1458 Sulejów - Mikolaj the abbot and the convent of Sulejów is determining fees and duties on people from Mogielnica town and adjacent villages (in Latin – Papery document, without the microfilm, signature no 3551, elaborated by professor Wierzbicki Teodor; in the copy from the book of Mogielnica);
• in 1469 r. king Kazimierz 4th Jagiellończyk is allowing for self-governing organizing in Mogielnica 12 of contemporary trades, in the common organization
3. Kazimierz Polish king, gives the privilege to the Mogielnica town, belonging to the Sulejowek monastery, for assuming every guilds which are existing in other towns (papery document from 5. VII. 1469, x 23 published in Radom, 43.5 cm + 4 cm - damaged, numerous gaps in the text, holes after stamps), no 3585 signature (XX century);
• in 1475 from this rulers consent (Kazimierz Jagiellończyk), weaver’s separate guild rose in the town
• in the same year - 1475 - Marcin, the abbot of Sulejówek, posed in favor of the monastery in Sulejów: "wishing to improve income of the monastery and to describe duties of our town Mogielnycza and adjacent lands: of Wielka and Małal Othalancz, we pose: so that they pay from one field of land 7.5 of grosze; nipping the beer 6 grosze.; everyone else who engage oneself with trade or selling baize one grosz. Anybody who is cultivating the land in the town or on villages, will supply two cocks paying moreover one grosz from the home, from the garden and from the meadow. Serfs who cultivate the role in Wielka Othalancz have to pay 3 tails of the hemp. From the town and from villages they have to work for us for 3 days in the year, but only till noon, with plough two days, and with lister one day
4. Marcin, the abbot along with Cistercian’s Sulejówek convent, is confirming acts and rights of weavers guild in Mogielnica town (made a list 19.XI. 1475 r. in the monastery in Sulejów; papery document 44x 28 + 2 cm, gaps in the text, a bit cut from the left border at the top of the parchment, the signature no 3598 (XX century);
• in 1528 Zygmunt I Stary gave the town a law of organizing one marketplace a week and three annual fairs (the marketplace of the high rank and importance, e.g. annual, about bigger prestigious importance and the territorial scope)
• in 1530 r. the same ruler confirmed more ancient privileges of the town
• in 1540 r. Zygmunt I Stary is making Mogielnica commoners free people "once and for all from delivering goods and services for needs of the royal mansion, particularly, that everlastingly (and multis seculis) they were switched off from such weight"
5. Zygmunt, Polish king, is settling the discussion between commoners from Grójec and Mogielnica, confirming with it, last dismissal from giving goods (1540 r.,) given by Ziemowit, the prince of Warsaw,( Vilnius, papery document 43.5 x 25 + 7.cm, no. of signature. 3782 (XX century).
6. Zygmunt August, Polish king, is ordering his officials to keep commoners from Mogielnica, the local abbots lieges, with freedom of fair fees and tolls (from 14.IX. 1549 in Cracow; papery document, with the squeezed stamp in writing, partly rotten, signature no 3822 - xx century, elaborated by professor T. Wierzbicki);
7. Zygmunt August, Polish king, confirms the document for Mogielnica’s residents, in which Zygmunt I, king (in 1540 r. in Vilnius) is freeing commoners of Mogielnica from Sulejówek abbot, from giving the duty and changing goods, becouse of what they were summoned by commoners of Grójec (papery document in Latin, signature no 3824 - xx century, elaborated by professor T. Wierzbicki)
• king Zygmunt August 2nd confirmed earlier privileges, he added the right to organize four more far-away fairs a year and gave Mogielnica more far-away privileges in years: 1549, 1550, 1556, 1557, 1562, 1566;
8. Zygmunt August 2nd , Polish king, is settling the discussion between Mogielnica commoners and Grójec in the matter of giving goods by Mogielnica and is freeing the last one from this weight, on the basis of privilege given by his predecessors (from 16.X. 1556 r. in Warsaw; 50.5 x 20 + 9 cm, papery document, signature no. 3862 – XX century);
9. King Zygmunt August 2nd is ordering his officials to comply for, being entitled to, commoners from Mogielnica getting released from duties; (from 9.I. 1557 in Warsaw; signature no. 3876 xx century, elaboreted by professor T. Wierzbicki);
10. Zygmunt August 2nd is informing receivers of taxes that commoners of Mogielnic are loosened from paying taxes (from 10.I. 1562 r. in Łomża; papery document 29.5 x 26 cm, the signature no. 3907 – XX century);
11. Zygmunt August 2nd is confirming dismissal of commoners of Mogielnica from paying duties, given by Ziemowit, mazowiecki prince (in 1562 in Lomza; 53.5 x22,5 + 9 cm; signature no. 3906- XX century);
12. Zygmunt August 2nd is giving four annual fairs to Mogielnica and one per week (published in 1562 in Lomza; 52.5 x 28.5 + 4.5 cm; papery document, signature no 3906 - xx century);
13. Zygmunt August 2nd confirms for Mogielnica town of the Sulejowek monastery, document, in which Kazimierz, Polish king (document from 5.VII. 1469 Radom) is permitting to assume guilds in Mogielnica (Latin, papery document, from 14.VIII. 1566 r. published in Lublin; signature no 3923 - xx century, elaborated by professor T. Wierzbicki);
• in 1576 Stefan Batory confirmed the contemporary organization of craftsman’s guilds ("organized trades")
14. Stefan Batory, Polish king, is confirming Zygmunt August 2nd document from 14.VIII. 1566 in Lublin, on the Seym, in which Zygmunt August is confirming the document of Kazimierz Jagiellończyk from 5.VII. 1469 in Radom on the Seym, during which Kazimierz is confirming all handicraftsmen’s guilds in Mogielnica (13 calculated personally) and is forbidding doing the difficulty to them (published on 9.XI. 1576 r. in Warsaw; papery document Latin; 54x28,5 + 8.5 cm, the signature no 6221 - AG 1952);
• in 1593 r. Zygmunt 3rd Vase confirmed existing privileges of the town;
15. Zygmunt 3rd , Polish king, is averting the claim brought forward by the relational judgment by commoners of Goszczyn against the town Mogielnica, for not-giving goods mentioned by the foundational privilege of prince Siemowit (1313, 29.VII - this is in the AGAD , of king Stefan, Zygmunt 1 (1540, 29 11, Vilnius) and of Zygmunt August (1556 ,X.) (published on 12.IV. 1593, in Warsaw; papery document, in Latin, signature no 4017 - xx century, elaborated by professor T. Wierzbicki);
• in 1633 Władysław 4th confirmed ancient privileges of the town;
16. Władysław 4th , Polish king, is confirming for Mogielnica town of the Sulejówek abbey releasing ,among other things, from tribute published by Zygmunt 3rd (1593 Warsaw) and then once again on 26. II. 1633 r. in Cracow; signature no 4106 (XX century);
• in 1649 r. – Jan Kazimierz is confirming historic privileges
17. Jan Kazimierz, the Polish king, confirms Władysław’s 4th document (27.II. 1633, Cracow - according to AGAD document, ensuring law and the freedom of the Mogielnica town, belonging to the Sulejówek abbey (papery document, in Latin, from 23.IV. 1649 r. in Warsaw; 47.2 x 32.9 + 10.7 cm, the signature no 4156);
• in 1750 - as similarly as previously – August 3rd Sas;
18. August 3rd , Polish king, confirms an assumption of the mechanic guild in the Mogielnica town (land of Rawa Mazowiecka ); (published on 22.VI. 1750 r. in Warsaw); leather-bound book, 4 papery cards + 1 card of the setting 29.8 x 38.3 cm; signature no 4343; the document is joined to subsequent document of Stanisław August from 21.VII.1775 r.
• similarly – king Stanisław August Poniatowski confirmed various ancient rights of Mogielnica- in years: 1775, 1780 and 1792;
19. Stanisław August Poniatowski, Polish king, confirms assuming mechanics guild in Mogielnica; (published on 21.VII. 1775 in Warsaw);
• in 1796 a possessive Prussian government also confirmed ancient rights of Mogielnica, at the opportunity of the legal process lasting already with the contemporary successor - with Mogielnica’s owner - Bazyli Walicki (in the analogy to ancient conflicts with commoners of Grojec and Goszczyn, this process also referred to the breaking of laws belonging to commoners of the town).
If authorities of the Mogielnica Commune opted for execution of photo copies of these documents, it would be necessary to finance such work, which would have to be done by specialists employed by AGAD. An AGAD price list from 1996 is still standing now.
• For colorful photographic photos; 2.5 zloty for the frame and 11-22 zloty for one off-print (depending on the format - maximum A4 format)
• for monochrome photos (it is in this case enough): 2.5 for frame and 1 1-22 zloty for one off-print (also depending on the format - max. A4).
All in all there are 19 documents but practically it is possible to turn out that the state of the document isn’t tolerating reducing it, rectifying and photographing (not all of them are, because of the state keeping, available for interested people). In accordance to the relation of mayor C. Mieszkowski (from May 1865): "Mogielnica Town possesses 28 privileges published by Princes and Polish Kings which are kept in the coffer under two keys in Town Hall, perhaps I will still manage to find something or perhaps no.”
